Featuring memorization and recitation categories, the Quran contest will continue until February 22, when the winners will be announced and honored at the closing ceremony.

Iran's representative in the competition is Zahra Abbasi, a student of Arabic language and literature at the University of Tehran, who has memorized the entire Quran. She hopes to improve on the performance of her compatriot, Roya Fazaeli, who did not rank in the previous edition despite her high preparedness.
