"The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly rejects the recent report by the UNSC Monitoring Team asserting an increase of foreign groups' activities in Afghanistan," the Taliban foreign ministry said in a statement on Monday.

Such a report lacks evidence, documents and addresses "neither in the interest of Afghanistan nor the region and the world," it said on its Twitter account.

The foreign ministry said security has been ensured in Afghanistan since the Taliban's takeover in the country last August, and its soil would never be used as a threat against other countries.

"As an accountable government, the Islamic Emirate will play a positive role towards security and stability of Afghanistan, the region and the world," and hopes that other parties would also grasp these facts and make responsible statements, said the foreign ministry.

The UN monitoring team has recently released a report in which it warned of an increasing foreign groups' activities in Afghanistan.

Media reports have claimed some foreign militant groups such as Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) and al-Qaeda operatives are present in the war-torn Afghanistan under the Taliban rule, but Kabul has rejected the allegation as groundless.
