53,000 to Take Quran, Nahj-ul-Balaqa Exam

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 13th edition of the national Quran and Nahj-ul-Balaqa examination in Iran will be held on Friday, May 1.

Mojtaba Hassanzadeh, who is in charge of holding the examination, said 53,620 individuals have signed up for taking the exam.
He said 41,352 of them are women and the rest are men, IRNA reported.
According to Hassanzadeh, the provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan and Isfahan have the highest number of applicants for the exam.
It will be held in 17 categories including Quran translation and concepts, contemplating the Quran, memorization of the Quran, and memorization of Nahj-ul-Balaqa.
285 cities across the country, including provincial capital cities, will host the event this Friday.
