Multi-language Video Clip Introduces Islam

TEHRAN (IQNA) - A number of students of Marmara University’s Faculty of Theology in Istanbul, Turkey, have posted a video clip on the internet to introduce Islam in 16 languages.

According to Al-Quds Al-‘Arabi newspaper, the clip features a collection of some verses of the Holy Quran and Nabawi hadiths on peace, moderation and tolerance.

30 students of the faculty including foreign nationals have participated in the project with the aim of stressing the fact that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance.

The project was planned in response to the raise in Islamophobia in Europe particularly following the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris.

It is noted in the video clip that 113 verses of the Holy Quran begin with the phrase “In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful” which stresses mercy, compassion and kindness.
