Media Can Have Major Role in Promoting Quran Contemplation
This is according to Iranian Quran activist Behruz Yarigol who also told IQNA that the media should help to spread Quranic education.
He underlined that contemplating the Quran helps one to comprehend the messages of the Holy Book and the meaning of the verses.
Yarigol added that contemplating the Quran should lead to acting upon the teachings of the Holy Scripture.
Elsewhere in his remark, the Quran activist noted that prior to urging Quran contemplation, efforts should be made to foster acquaintance with the Quran among people.
The families and the education ministry can work to promote the Quran among the youth, he also stated.
Mr. Yarigol further stressed that during the month of Muharram, when people mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions, people should be informed that the uprising of Imam Hussein (AS) and the event of Ashura took place with the aim of promoting the Quran and upholding prayers.
