Islamic Revolution Quranic Convoy’s Programs Wrap Up
This year, the convoy held Quranic programs in the two provinces of Kordestan and West Azarbaijan.
On Friday, the convoy’s last Quran recitation circle was held in Urmia with the motto of “Quran: Book of Life, Pivot of Unity”.
A number of officials, including Hojat-ol-Islam Qurayshi, the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in West Azarbaijan, attended the event.
It included Quran recitations by Habib Sedaqat and Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Rahimdokht.
Addressing the closing ceremony at Tharallah Husseiniya (religious center), General Mohammad Hossein Rajabi, the commander of the IRGC forces in West Azarbaijan, lauded the organizers of the Quranic event.
The Quranic convoy comprised Iranian Quranic figures, qaris, memorizers and activists.
Like previous years, they traveled to different cities to hold Quranic programs during celebrations marking the anniversary of the 1979 victory of the Islamic Revolution.
According to Mehdi Qarasheikhlu, the head of the 6th convoy, it was aimed at promoting a Quranic atmosphere in celebrations marking the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory.
Every year, millions of Iranians across the country observe ten days of celebrations marking the anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution that put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.
