Nat’l Quran Memorization Competition Held in Tajikistan

TEHRAN (IQNA) - 115 memorizers of the Holy Quran participated in a national Quran memorization competition in Tajikistan.


According to hqmi.org, the competition was organized for Tajik men by the International Association of Quran Memorization in cooperation with Abu Hanifa Islamic Institute.



The Quranic event was held under the patronage of Imamali Rahmanov, Tajikistan’s president.



The participants competed in memorization of the entire Quran with Tafsir (interpretation), memorization of the entire Quran with the memorization of forty Nabawi Hadiths and memorization of 20 Juzes.



Ali Ibrahim Mansour, Dean of the Faculty of Quranic Sciences, chaired the Jury panel of the competition.



Top participants were awarded in a ceremony attended by Mukarram Abdul Qadirov, Mufti of Tajikistan, Tajiddin Usam, head of the Islamic institute, Abdulrahman Al-Mikhlafi, representative of Saudi Arabia in Tajikistan, Ali Ibrahim Mansour, representative of the International Association of Quran Memorization, as well as a number of academic figures and scholars of the country.
