According to shorouknews, the forum has been organized with the aim of investigating various aspects of Ijtihad and Qiyas in various sources of Islamic jurisprudence and making use of Ijtihad to solve the problems that Muslim are facing today.
Scholars from Turkey, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Jordan, Sudan, Mauritania, India, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Nigeria have participated in the program.
Investigation of issues related to Ijtihad in the Islamic law of the modern world and extremes of Ifrat (excessiveness) and Tafrit (neglegence) in Ijtihad is also an objective of the forum.
The international event, jointly organized by Yeni Ümit, Turkish journal and Hira, Arabic magazine, will conclude today, May 11.
