Speaking to IQNA’s correspondent who has traveled to the Arab country for the Arbaeen procession, Zaynab al-Mulla al-Sultani said Imam Hussein (AS) foiled attempts at destroying Islam and its values.
In fact, the religion was revived by the third Imam (AS) with the help of God, she said.
Imam Hussein (AS) remains a symbol of the truth after centuries, Sultani said, stressing that the Imam (AS) belongs not to a certain group of Muslims but to the entire Muslim Ummah and to humanity as a whole.
She added that Imam Hussein (AS) is the voice of the truth, humanity, Islam and the Holy Scripture that was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The scholar also highlighted the role of Hazrat Zaynab (SA) in defending the truthfulness of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) and Imam Hussein (AS) and conveying the message of Karbala.
She said Hazrat Zaynab (SA) elaborated on the nature and objectives of Imam Hussein’s (AS) uprising and promoted its teachings and concepts.
Following the Seerah of Hazrat Zaynab (SA) is necessary for all Muslim women as it shows the path to salvation and happiness in the hereafter.
Imam Hussein (AS), Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) grandson, was killed along with 72 of his companions during the battle of Karbala in 680 AD.
Elsewhere in the interview, Sultani referred to the activities of Al-Zahra University, saying it is a higher education center for girls and women.
Established in the holy city of Karbala in 2018, the university has three colleges of medical sciences, pharmacology and health technologies, she noted.
