TEHRAN (IQNA) – The secretary-general of Iraq’s al-Nujaba Islamic resistance movement, reacted in a message to a summit in Erbil, Iraq, aimed at normalizing relations with the Zionist regime.

Hojat-ol-Islam Akram al-Kaabi said the Iraqi people will punish the “perpetrators” of the Erbil summit.

According to the Communication and Media Affairs Center of al-‎Nujaba in Iran, he called the Erbil summit a customary and worthless act, adding, “This summit was held by some unjustified and traitorous people, who are deprived of the zeal and honor of Iraq, in order to normalize relations with the usurping Zionist regime,” according to the Communication and Media Affairs Center of al-‎Nujaba in Iran.

He noted that such a move would not change Iraq’s principled and historic stance on the issue of Palestine and the occupying Zionist regime.

Hojat-ol-Islam al-Kaabi stressed that the traitors and compromisers have no place in Iraq and added, “They are bloodthirsty on all bases and the honorable people of Iraq will punish them for their actions.”

The secretary-general of the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement blamed the Kurdistan Regional Government for holding such a summit, as well as the presence of Zionist spy elements in the region, adding, “These same Zionist elements hold such absurd summits by buying out the weak members of the element.”

In conclusion, he stated, “Iraq will be the beating heart standing up to oppression and occupation, as well as the vanguard of liberation. The holy city of al-Quds will remain the slogan and code of our resistance.”
