African Religious Centers to Cooperate with Husseini Astan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine in Iraq and a number of religious and academic centers in southeast Africa.

 

 

According to the website of the Astan, Sheikh Raid Al-Heidari, head of the religious affairs section of the Astan, said the MoU was signed on the occasion of the beginning of the month of Muharram with the aim of promoting the message of Imam Hussein (AS).

Sheikh Al-Hanif Mir Akbar Ali and Sheikh Ahmad Al-Ameli, director of Warith-ul-Anbiya Institute for Training Preachers signed it in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar.

He added that the MoU includes a number of joint projects to be implemented in Africa's Rasul Akram Center.

Academic and seminary departments, charity institutes, a mosque, a library and a social service center will be established in the center.
