‘Quran and History’ Confab Held in Mahallat

--The Mahallat branch of the Islamic Azad University held yesterday the second conference on “Quran and History”.
According to Eng Aliabadi secretary of the conference, 13 articles were presented at event.
He said that the conference was aimed at elevating university students’ awareness of Quranic teachings as well as working out strategies to further integrate the teachings of the holy Quran in society.

‘Quran’s Status in Studies of Early Islamic History’ by Abdolrahim Ghanavat, ‘Quran and the Philosophy of History’ by Keivan Loloei, ‘The Holy Prophet’s Battles with Jews in View of Quran’ by Azam Saberinasab, ‘Quran and Advent of Humans’ by Leila Motamed, ‘History of Prophets in Quran’ by Abbasali Akhavan Barmaki, and ‘Leadership in View of Quran’ were some of the articles presented at the conference.

It also featured lectures by Dr Majid Maaref head of the Quranic sciences and Hadith department at Tehran University’s Islamic Teachings College, and Dr Alviri from Imam Sadeq (AS) University.
