Khaf Mosque A Hub of Quran Memorization in NE Iran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – There is a popular Quran memorization center in the Grand Mosque of the city of Khaf in northeast Iran.

 

The center, known as Dar-ul-Tajfiz (house of memorization), was established in 1988 and currently has some 200 memorization students.

The students are from nearby cities as well as other areas as far as Semnan, Tehran, and Isfahan.

Abdul Rauf Ramezani, a visually-impaired memorizer and reciter of the Quran, has been in charge of the center since 1991.

Khaf is a city in Razavi Khorasan Province. According to the 2006 census, its population was 21,160.
