Qaris Training Plan Begins in Tehran
The plan, dubbed Osveh (role model), includes 38 educational sessions.
According to Mohammad Taqi Mirzajani, director of the plan, 55 teenagers and youths from different parts of the country have taken the courses, which include lessons on rites of recitation, rules of Swat and Lahn, Tajweed, understanding the meanings of the verses, Quran memorization, religious edicts, and Arabic language.
He said the plan will be implemented until Wednesday, August 29.
Mirzajani went on to say that a number of sideline programs will also be held for the participants.
They include meetings with religious scholars, holding Quran recitation sessions, and recreational activities.
The Osveh plan has been annually implemented by the Asr Quranic-Cultural Society in cooperation with the Supreme Quran Council since 2014.
