Courses on Unity, Islamic Diplomacy Held in Kyrgyzstan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Unity and Islamic diplomacy were among the themes of educational courses jointly held in Kyrgyzstan by Iran’s University of Islamic Denominations and the International University of Kyrgyzstan.

 

According to the Iranian university, Yahya Jahangiri, director general of the Office for International Cooperation of the university who was an organizer of the courses, said that 100 MA and PhD students as well as university teachers participated in the courses, which were held in English.

Islamic unity, the policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran based on Islamic thoughts, Islamic diplomacy, the status of Sunnis and Shias in Iran, Islamic philosophy, Islamic theology, and the cultural religious commonalities between Iran and Kyrgyzstan were some of the themes of the courses.

The participants in the educational program received certificates of attendance.

Jahangiri said that the courses were organized in line with a memorandum of understanding between the two universities.

The MoU was signed during a trip by Ayatollah Mokhtari, the Chancellor of Iran’s University of Islamic Denominations, to Kyrgyzstan, he noted.
